Event

Thursdays at PAMM: Poetry in Motion Presented by Buen Provecho Collective

April 16, 2026
7:00 PM – 9:00 PM

Celebrate National Poetry Month with “Poetry in Motion,” an immersive waterfront workshop led by interdisciplinary artist KT. Inspired by the Japanese avant-garde dance form Butoh and the museum’s Shadows and Traces exhibition, explore the visceral connection between short-form poetry and somatic and ancestral movement practices.

This workshop offers a unique opportunity to expand your creative horizons and deepen your understanding of the body’s innate capacity for poetic expression. By cultivating an experience of intuitive, embodied storytelling, attendees will forge personal and participatory connections to the exhibit’s focus on hands, bodies, and silhouettes.

This free, all-levels session invites you to move beyond traditional structures to uncover the body’s innate capacity for storytelling through intuitive expression.

Also, enjoy guided gallery tours, art-making activities with local artists, happy hour specials, new exhibitions, and permanent collection galleries until 9pm.

Please note that this is a program which is best experienced from start to finish. If you plan on attending, please be on time and stay until the end for the full experience.

With an emphasis on historical memory and collective healing, they are interested in cultivating spaces of reflection and care for those living between languages, borders, and definitions. Their work has been featured in galleries across the United States, including Information Space (PA) and Superchief Gallery (FL) during Art Basel Miami Beach. In 2025, they presented their first solo show, Más Tiempo Que Vida, at Museo de la Palabra y la Imagen in San Salvador, El Salvador. Their short film, “Nixtamalizado,” is an Official Selection for the 2025 Utopías y Memorias Festival in San Salvador, El Salvador and won the award for Best Salvadoran Short Documentary.
